Quick, Easy Asparagus Cooked in the Microwave |
Ingredients:
1 bunch of asparagus
Olive oil spray
Garlic powder
Mrs. Dash or Nature’s Seasons
Salt
Pepper A bunch of asparagus |
Spray 9” x 13” Pyrex dish with olive oil spray. Wash asparagus. Cut off ends that aren’t a pretty green
color.
Arrange in the 9 x 13 as follows:

Spray the asparagus with olive oil spray so that the
seasonings will stick.
Sprinkle the 4 seasonings on the asparagus. If you don’t know how much to use, mix
together ¼ teaspoon of each into a bowl,
and then sprinkle that mixture on the asparagus. This way you know how to adjust if your
family wants an adjustment.

Cover it loosely so that it will steam. I have a plastic cover that I put on a little
crooked. Paper plates will work if you
don’t have a special cover.

BTW If you use the jumbo asparagus from Costco, you will
need to cook it for 4 minutes and then taste test.

In a high wattage microwave, cook on high for 2 minutes and
40 seconds. Taste test. If you like it more tender, cook for 20
